A Greener Future
Global Aid for Humanity and Climate Action – Ghana (GAHCA–Ghana) was established in 2017 to address the immediate and growing impact of climate change on vulnerable populations and communities across the country.
We believe that no individual should be denied their basic human rights, especially when facing the harsh realities brought about by climate change. In many parts of Ghana, floods, droughts, rising temperatures, deforestation, and environmental degradation are destroying homes, farmlands, and water sources. Families are losing their livelihoods, while thousands of young people migrate to cities seeking survival, increasing unemployment, overcrowding, and social vulnerability.

Access to clean water remains a major challenge as rivers are polluted and natural water sources dry up. Climate change has destroyed farmlands and fisheries, leading to food insecurity, malnutrition, poverty, and worsening health crises.
At GAHCA–Ghana, we respond to these interconnected challenges through a holistic, community-centred approach that integrates climate awareness and advocacy, humanitarian support, clean water interventions, educational support for marginalised youth, and climate disaster relief and recovery.
These integrated interventions aim to protect human dignity, restore livelihoods, strengthen community resilience, and promote sustainable development in the face of a growing climate and humanitarian crisis.
Our Vision
A Ghana where marginalised communities and individuals most affected by climate change are supported, climate resilience is strengthened, and environmental justice is achieved for all and poverty alleviated through strategic interventions.
Our Mission
To promote environmental stewardship across Ghana, ensure access to clean water for communities most affected by climate change, and provide support for youth through formal or technical/vocational education to break the cycle of poverty intensified by climate change and poverty.
