ABOUT US
Our Journey
Global Aid for Humanity and Climate Action – Ghana (GAHCA–Ghana) began its journey in 2012 as Global Aid for the Marginalised–Ghana and was officially registered as a non-profit organisation in 2017. Our mission was to fight poverty among vulnerable families, as poverty often leads to school dropouts, crime, and teenage pregnancy among young people.

Recognising the Impact of Climate Change
Over time, we realised that one of the factors contributing to poverty is the impact of climate change. Harsh weather conditions, drought, and other climate-related issues destroy farmland and deepen social and economic challenges. Since farming is the primary source of livelihood for many families living outside urban areas, climate change significantly affects their income and survival. As a result, many young people migrate to cities in search of better opportunities, but often find themselves facing difficult and unsafe living conditions.
Expanding Our Mission
In response to these growing challenges, we expanded our mission to include climate action initiatives. We believe that no one should be denied their basic human rights because of the devastating effects of climate change.
Our Efforts
Today, at GAHCA–Ghana, we implement climate action initiatives and interventions focused on education, economic development, poverty alleviation, and access to clean water for vulnerable communities most affected by climate change.
Our Vision
A Ghana where vulnerable individuals and communities thrive in the face of climate change, ensuring that every person has access to clean water, quality education, and sustainable livelihoods, while fostering environmental stewardship beyond Ghana.
Our Mission
We are committed to promoting climate action and implementing climate resilience initiatives that support communities and individuals adversely affected by climate change. We pursue this mission through climate advocacy, educational sponsorships for youth, economic empowerment for women, disaster relief, climate-smart agricultural support for farmers, and sustainable access to clean water, enabling vulnerable populations to build resilient livelihoods, overcome poverty, and contribute to environmental conservation.
