GAHCA-Ghana Supports Vulnerable Pupils in Tumu District

Global Aid for Humanity and Climate Action – Ghana (GAHCA-Ghana) has provided school uniforms, school bags, belts, and shoes to vulnerable pupils in the Tumu District to support their education and well-being.

The intervention comes at a time when many families in the district continue to face economic hardship. Climate-related challenges, including irregular rainfall patterns, prolonged dry spells, and declining agricultural yields, have affected household incomes in many communities where farming remains the primary source of livelihood.

As a result, some parents have struggled to provide basic educational necessities for their children. Many pupils have been attending school in worn-out and tattered uniforms, while others lacked proper shoes, bags, and other essential items needed for learning.

Through this support, GAHCA-Ghana seeks to restore dignity and confidence to affected pupils while helping to remove barriers to education. The smiles on the faces of the children as they received their new uniforms and supplies reflected renewed hope and excitement for learning.

At GAHCA-Ghana, we recognize that climate change is not only an environmental issue but also a social and economic challenge that affects families, education, and future opportunities for children. By supporting vulnerable pupils, we are investing in both education and community resilience.

The organization remains committed to standing with climate-affected communities and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and achieve their full potential.
