GAHCA-Ghana Partners with TOMS Shoes to Support
Global Aid for Humanity and Climate Action – Ghana (GAHCA-Ghana), in partnership with TOMS Shoes, has distributed shoes to vulnerable school children in climate-impacted communities across Northern Ghana, helping to ensure that children can attend school with dignity, comfort, and confidence.

Many families in Northern Ghana depend on rain-fed agriculture for their livelihoods. However, prolonged droughts, erratic rainfall, and other climate-related challenges have reduced crop yields and household incomes, making it difficult for parents to provide basic necessities such as shoes for their children.

Through this partnership, hundreds of pupils received quality shoes, removing one of the barriers to regular school attendance and improving their overall well-being. For many of the children, it was the first time they owned a new pair of shoes.
At GAHCA-Ghana, we recognize that climate change is more than an environmental crisis—it is a human development challenge that affects education, health, and livelihoods. By supporting children in climate-vulnerable communities, we are helping families build resilience while ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn and thrive.
